Devotionals give an author’s personal application of a verse or two to help readers learn how to apply the Bible to their lives daily. Devotionals can focus on specific topics and many include short reading plans with reflection questions and notes. They are not meant to replace reading God’s Word but are meant to be a supplement in helping you understand the Bible for yourself. A devotional reading plan adds structure and allows you to view devotionals on a specific topic over a predetermined period of time.
