We offer two ways to read through your Bible text, depending on how you want to engage with the content. By simply tapping the speaker icon and then hitting play, the app will scroll on its own with the audio, highlighting each verse as it is read aloud and advancing the page automatically to match the narrator's pace. You can tap the '1.0x' speed button next to the play/pause button in the audio sheet to change the speaker's speed (and the speed of the verse highlight).
In contrast, Auto Scroll is built for reading without audio. It is activated by a tiny manual scroll in the middle of the Bible text, allowing the text to glide upward at a steady rate, so you can keep your hands free while reading.
While both features aim to make your experience more seamless, they are independent scrolling systems designed for different purposes. Because audio is tethered to the narrator’s voice speed and Auto Scroll follows a mechanical speed, we recommend using only one at a time. Attempting to use both simultaneously will cancel out the other.
