If you’ve recently updated your Samsung device to Android 15 with One UI 7, you may notice that text-to-speech (TTS) in the Life Bible app works a little differently.
What Changed?
Samsung’s proprietary Text-to-Speech engine is now restricted to Samsung apps only. That means:
Samsung apps (like Bixby or Samsung’s own reader tools) can still use Samsung’s TTS voice.
Third-party apps like ours are no longer allowed to directly access Samsung’s TTS engine.
Instead, your phone will automatically switch to the default system-wide TTS engine, which for most devices is Google’s Text-to-Speech. To avoid confusion, we’re updating the TTS Settings button in our app. When you tap it, you’ll be taken directly to the system’s default voice options.
